Preparing the Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt Riddles & Tasks
As previously mentioned, this is NOT your ordinary scavenger hunt. In fact, of all of the Father’s Day scavenger hunt ideas out there, this one is my favorite because of the tasks and challenges included in the hunt! Additionally, with our handy printables, setting up this personalized treasure hunt for a Father’s Day activity is so easy!
To begin with, you can add these colorful bag covers to a total of five lunch bags. I used white lunch bags, but you could use the traditional brown ones as well. You can print the bag covers onto cardstock paper and attach them to the front of the bag, OR you could print the design directly onto the lunch bag. It is up to you!
Next, fill each bag with one of the five included activities. You will want to include any of the printables and/or supplies needed for that game. These are the activities that your family will complete before moving on to the next set of Father’s Day scavenger hunt riddles. Trust me. Each one gets better and better!

Now it is time to set up the clues for the hunt! By the way, all of these clever Father’s Day scavenger hunt riddles rhyme and will lead your family to the next activity. It’s so much fun to watch the whole family get excited with this scavenger hunt celebration!
Take the five location clue cards and attach one to the bottom of each bag. The only clue that will not be placed on a bag is the first note that explains the game and offers the first clue. The first of your Father’s Day scavenger hunt riddles starts with: Today is a celebration all about you And we’ve planned a scavenger hunt to do. Complete the activities and follow the clues, So we can love and spoil you! Your first clue is super easy: Go to where we keep food freezing!
These totally free Father’s Day scavenger hunt clues are all written and ready to go! They will send your family to places you would find in a typical home, such as:

When you are ready to play this scavenger hunt, place all of the clue bags in the various locations around your home as indicated by the clues. With the exception of the first clue, which explains the game, the order of the following clues does not matter.
When everything is positioned and ready to go, give dad (and/or your family!) the first clue. When they find the clue bag, have them open it to reveal the activity. After completing the activity, your family can then peek at the bottom of the bag to read their next clue!
